Abstract:

In the present invention, a forward collision warning (FCW) of a leaning vehicle (101) is actuated when the distance between the leaning vehicle and a stationary obstacle (201) becomes a first distance (D1) while the leaning vehicle is moving straight toward the obstacle at a first vehicle speed (V1). If, while the leaning vehicle is moving straight toward the stationary obstacle from a first point (P1) to a third point (P3), a brake lever is being operated in a pulling direction or a release direction and the vehicle speed at a second point (P2) is the first vehicle speed, the second point being a point between the first point and the third point and at which the distance between the obstacle and the leaning vehicle becomes the first distance, then the (FCW) is not actuated at the second point. If, while the leaning vehicle is traveling from a fourth point (P4) to a sixth point (P6), the tilt of the leaning vehicle frame in a leftward or rightward direction of the leaning vehicle is changed due to an input to the leaning vehicle by a rider and the vehicle speed at a fifth point (P5) is the first vehicle speed, the fifth point being a point between the fourth point and the sixth point and at which the distance between the stationary obstacle and the leaning vehicle becomes the first distance, then the FCW is not actuated at the fifth point.
