Abstract:
Disclosed is a lens unit provided with a lens barrel comprising a first opening, a second opening, and an inner space sandwiched between the first opening and the second opening along a central axis, and a plurality of lenses housed in the inner space, wherein in respective two adjacent lenses among the plurality of lenses, the projected shape parallel to the optical axis of a lens located on the second opening side is larger than that of a lens located on the first opening side, the lens barrel is parallel to the central axis and comprises a plurality of inner side surface portions which define cross sections corresponding to respective projected shapes of the plurality of lenses, in respective two adjacent inner side surface portions among the plurality of inner side surface portions, the cross section of an inner side surface located on the second opening side is larger than that of an inner side surface located on the first opening side, the lens barrel comprises a plurality of main grooves which are provided in each of the plurality of inner side surface portions and extend from the first opening to the second opening, and each of the plurality of lens units is affixed to the inner side surface portion corresponding thereto by an adhesive at least partially filled in the plurality of main grooves provided in the corresponding inner side surface portion.
