Abstract:
Provided are: a lid for a storage battery, the lid having a terminal section insert-molded thereto being configured so that the lid is prevented from deforming and, particularly, so that the short side faces of the lid can be prevented from warping; an injection-molding method for the lid for a storage battery; and a storage battery provided with the lid for a storage battery. A lid for a storage battery is configured in such a manner that a cutout or a recess is formed in a synthetic resin lid (2) for closing a battery case, a terminal (4) is provided to the cutout or the recess, and a bushing (6) is provided in the lid (2). The lid is also provided with a conducting section (7) which connects the upper side of the bushing (6) and the lower side of the terminal (4) which is disposed next to the bushing (6) in the horizontal direction. The terminal (4), the bushing (6), and the conducting section (7) form a terminal section (8). The conducting section (7) and at least the lower portion (6B) of the bushing (6) from among the portions of the terminal section (8) are embedded in the lid by insert-molding. A synthetic resin thin plate (2H) is provided in the gap (2G) which is located on the rear side of the lid (2) and is formed between the lower portion (6B) of the bushing (6), the lower portion (6B) being embedded in the synthetic resin, and a portion of the conducting section (7), the portion being embedded in the synthetic resin. The thin plate (2H) connects the lower portion of the bushing (6) and the portion of the conducting section (7).
