Abstract:
This LIDAR device executes radiation processing to radiate laser light to the periphery of a vehicle. The radiation processing includes scanning processing to scan the radiation direction of the laser light, and resolution adjustment processing. The scanning processing includes processing to scan the radiation direction of the laser light in a certain direction, which is one direction from among two directions, namely a vertical direction and a horizontal direction. A plurality of directions include an A direction and a B direction adjacent to one another, and a C direction and a D direction adjacent to one another. The resolution adjustment processing includes: processing to make the angle difference between the C direction and the D direction smaller than the angle difference between the A direction and the B direction; and variable processing to make the angle difference between the C direction and the D direction variable, taking a state variable indicating the state of the vehicle as an input.
