Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a life jacket for a companion animal and a method for manufacturing same, which provide the benefits of: allowing easy manufacturing according to the morphological characteristics of a companion animal; having high usability and convenience as air inflation and deflation are easy; resulting in stability without tightness when worn by not expanding when air is injected by means of a pump and maintaining a set height; allowing for the extension of the service period and adherence to the product design, as a good quality product can be produced from a good manufacturing process; and having a competitive advantage, because of the good quality product, for developing both domestic and overseas export markets, thereby contributing to the national economy and enabling products for companion animals to lead the market. The life jacket for a companion animal according to one embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: a back part worn on the back area of a companion animal; a chest part connected to the back part and worn on the chest area of the companion animal; a pump part which has a pump positioned to protrude from the back part, and which is accommodated inside the back part and the chest part, and which provides, by means of an external force exerted to the pump, air for buoyancy to a buoyant body inside the back part and the chest part; and coupling parts, which are provided on the back part and the chest part, and which are coupled to each other so that the back part and the chest part worn on the companion animal do not come off the companion animal. Also, the method for manufacturing the life jacket for a companion animal, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, comprises: a fabric preparation step for preparing fabrics for manufacturing the life jacket; a molding step for seating the fabrics in a mold and molding same by applying vacuum and heat; a cooling step for cooling the fabrics which have been molded in the molding step; a fabric insertion step for inserting another fabric so as to form an air layer for buoyancy in the molded fabrics which have been cooled in the cooling step; a bonding step for joining an upper plate mold and the mold in which the fabrics and the fabric for buoyancy are prepared and pressing and heating at the same time so that the fabrics bond; a solidification step for rapidly cooling to solidify the fabrics which have been bonded in the bonding step; and a high-frequency processing step for removing, from the mold, the molded product solidified in the solidification step and sealing same by using a high-frequency machine.
