Abstract:
Provided is a light detection device capable of suppressing an increase in the parasitic capacitance of an electrode pad. The light detection device comprises: a first semiconductor layer which has a photoelectric conversion unit, one surface of which is a light receiving surface, and the other surface of which is an element formation surface; an insulation layer which is laminated on the light receiving surface side of the first semiconductor layer; an electrode pad which is exposed from a surface of the insulation layer on the opposite side from the surface on the first semiconductor layer side, with the insulation layer interposed between the first semiconductor layer and the electrode pad; and an insulation ring which has insulating properties, which passes through the first semiconductor layer in the thickness direction, and which surrounds the electrode pad in a planar view.
