Abstract:

A light-diffusing element being a thin film capable of achieving low back scattering coefficient and high haze is provided. This light-diffusing element has a first region with a first refractive index and a second region with a second refractive index, which form a minutely irregular and spherical boundary therebetween. According to an embodiment, this light-diffusing element has a matrix and light-diffusing particles dispersed in the matrix, and forms a boundary where two regions with different refractive indices are minutely irregular and spherical at an interfaces between the matrix and the light-diffusing particles or in the vicinity thereof.
