Abstract:
The present invention provides a light diffusion plate that can apply uniform diffused light while reducing the influence of diffusion, and that can be easily created by imprinting, and a method for manufacturing the same. Provided is a light diffusion plate in which a plurality of microlenses are arranged on a flat surface including a first direction and a second direction crossing the first direction. The vertexes of the plurality of microlenses are disposed to be randomly displaced within the range of a displacement width δ1 in the first direction and a displacement width δ2 in the second direction within the flat surface, respectively, from a plurality of reference points arranged with a period P1 and a period P2 in the first direction and the second direction, respectively, some boundary portions among adjacent microlenses have flat portions F with the same height H, and the ratio of the area of the flat portions to the area of the flat surface of the light diffusion plate is 1.0% or less.
