Abstract:
A light diffusion sheet 43 is incorporated into a back-light unit 40 that employs a plurality of light sources 42 arranged in a two-dimensional matrix. A plurality of recessed portions 22 substantially in the shape of inverted quadrangular pyramids are arranged in a two-dimensional matrix on at least one surface of the light diffusion sheet 43. An angle of intersection of an arrangement direction of the plurality of recessed portions 22 and an arrangement direction of the plurality of light sources 42 is 30° to 60° inclusive.
