Abstract:
A light emitting apparatus comprising: a substrate having a first surface; a light emitting element mounted on the first surface to emit excitation light; and a wavelength conversion member located on at least a part of the first surface and the light emitting element to convert the excitation light into illuminating light. The substrate comprises at least one of: a recess having a second surface located below the first surface and a third surface connecting the second surface and the first surface; and a protrusion protruding upward from the first surface. The wavelength conversion member is in contact with at least one of: at least a part of the second surface; and at least a part of the protrusion.
