Abstract:
The present invention provides a novel light emitting device having a microcavity structure, which is able to have more improved luminous efficiency than ever before. A light emitting device having a microcavity structure according to the present invention, which emits light in the near-infrared region, is configured such that one or both of a first electrode (a reflective electrode) and a second electrode (a semi-transmissive/semi-reflective electrode) have a higher reflectance with respect to light in the near-infrared region (for example light of 850 nm) than with respect to light in the visible region (light of 400 nm or more but less than 750 nm).
