Abstract:
A light emitting device (1) having a light emitting semiconductor element such as a light emitting diode (2) as a light source. Light radiated from the light emitting diode (2) is converted through a light emitting section (8) having a plurality of phosphors (9) of different emission colors into visible light and emitted. Assuming the emission chromaticity of such a light emitting device (1) measured directly above a light source is (x, y), and the emission chromaticity obtained by measuring front emission and side leak light of the light emitting device (1) in all directions is (x1, y1), maximum value (&Dgr x, &Dgr y) of the color difference (absolute value) of these emission chromaticities satisfies the following relations of &Dgr x<0.05 and &Dgr y<0.05.
