Abstract:
A light-emitting device and a light-emitting control method therefor, and a projection apparatus. The light-emitting device comprises a main light source (405), wherein the light-emitting device is made to emit three primary colours of light by switching on the main light source (405), and a colour gamut region formed on a colour gamut coordinate graph is a first colour gamut region; and the light-emitting device also comprises a compensation light source (404, 504) for emitting compensation light (200, 300), wherein the compensation light (200, 300) is used for compensating for at least one light of the three primary colours of light. If colour coordinates of all the pixels of a current frame projection image are all located in the first colour gamut region, the main light source (405) is controlled to be switched on to make the light-emitting device emit three primary colours of light, and the compensation light source (404, 504) is controlled to not emit light; and if there are pixels of which the colour coordinates are located outside the first colour gamut region, the main light source (405) is controlled to be switched on, and the compensation light source (404, 504) is controlled to be switched on to make the light-emitting device emit the compensation light (200, 300). In the case where the colour coordinates of all the pixels are located in the first colour gamut region, the compensation light source (404, 504) is not switched on, and the first compensation light source (404) is switched on only in the case where there are pixels located outside the first colour gamut region, thereby achieving the effect of energy saving.
