Abstract:
The light-emitting device according to the present technology comprises: a light-emitting unit for emitting light for distance measurement; a light-receiving unit for receiving the light emitted by the light-emitting unit; and a control unit for calculating a target value for a drive current of the light-emitting unit on the basis of a reception signal produced by the light-receiving unit, and, when the light-emitting unit is caused to emit light so as to achieve a basic light irradiation amount different from that in a calculation light-emission period in which the light-emitting unit is caused to emit light for the purpose of calculating the target value, causing the light-emitting unit to emit light by using a drive current produced according to a corrected target value, in which the target value is corrected on the basis of the difference between the basic light irradiation amount and that in the calculation light-emission period.
