Abstract:
The light emitting device of the present invention comprises: a plurality of plate-like base materials which are disposed side by side and spaced apart from each other and are each made of metal; an insulating coating film formed so as to cover the upper surface and side surface of each of the plurality of base materials, the insulating coating film having an opening portion exposing one region of the upper surface of one of the plurality of base materials, and having a binding portion in which the plurality of base materials are bound together; a mounting pad made of metal provided so as to cover the one region of the upper surface of the one base material; and at least one light emitting element mounted on the mounting pad with a bonding member therebetween. The coating film includes a thin-film portion in which the coating film is formed in a thin-film shape surrounding an outer peripheral edge of the opening portion.
