Abstract:
The embodiments relate to a light emitting device, a method of manufacturing a light emitting device, a light emitting device package, and a lighting system. A light emitting device according to the embodiments comprises: a light emitting structure including a first conductive semiconductor layer, an active layer, and a second conductive semiconductor layer; a first electrode electrically connected to the first conductive semiconductor layer; a second electrode electrically connected to the second conductive semiconductor layer; an insulating member disposed on the light emitting structure while exposing the first electrode and the second electrode; a third electrode disposed on the first electrode; and a fourth electrode disposed on the second electrode. The third electrode has a first portion of the third electrode directly contacting the first electrode, and a second portion of the third electrode disposed on the first portion of the third electrode has a horizontal width that is greater than that of the first portion of the third electrode. The fourth electrode has a first portion of the fourth electrode directly contacting the second electrode, and a second portion of the fourth electrode disposed on the first portion of the fourth electrode has a horizontal width that is greater than that of the first portion of the fourth electrode. Thus, the light emitting device can have improved light extracting efficiency and heat dissipating characteristics and can have an increased reliability.
