Title:
LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/129383
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a light emitting device wherein heat generated by a plurality of LED elements mounted on a substrate does not affect the service life and the light emitting characteristics of the light emitting device by effectively dissipating from the substrate the heat generated due to light emission of the LED elements. The light emitting device is provided with: first and second electrodes, which are formed on the whole surface of the substrate by having a gap between the electrodes, said gap being on the center portion of the upper surface of the substrate; at least one first light emitting diode element mounted on the first electrode; and at least one second light emitting diode element mounted on the second electrode. Each of the first light emitting diode element and the second light emitting diode element has a pair of element electrodes on the upper surface, and the first light emitting diode element is connected to the first electrode and/or the second electrode using a wire. The second light emitting diode element is connected to the first electrode and/or the second electrode using a wire.
