Abstract:
Provided is a light-emitting device that can more reliably increase light extraction efficiency and can also reduce viewing angle dependence. A light-emitting device 10 according to one embodiment comprises: a substrate 12; a first electrode layer 14 that is provided on the substrate; an intermediate structure 16 that is provided on the first electrode layer and includes a light-emitting layer 161; and a second electrode layer 18 that is provided on the intermediate structure. One of the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer is a light-transmitting electrode layer, and the other is a light-reflecting electrode layer. When λG [nm] is defined as the peak wavelength in a color matching function corresponding to green in an XYZ color system, the optical distance between the light-transmitting electrode layer and a λG-wavelength light emission location 165 in the intermediate structure is within any one range among a first range of 140 nm to 200 nm, a second range of 400 nm to 460 nm, and a third range of 680 nm to 720 nm. The optical distance between the emission location and the light-reflecting electrode layer is an odd multiple of λG/4.
