A light-emitting device comprising: a bank (32) that is provided with an opening portion (32a) having an inclined opening side wall (32a1); a second electrode (33) that has an inclined surface and is formed on the bank so as to close the opening portion; a third electrode (36) that has an inclined surface and is formed above the second electrode; and an EL layer (35) that has an inclined surface and is formed between said lower-layer electrode and said upper-layer electrode as adjacent to both said lower-layer electrode and said upper-layer electrode.
