Abstract:
Provided is a light-emitting diode. The light-emitting diode has a first electrically-conductive cladding layer. A light-scattering pattern having a refractive index different from that of the first electrically-conductive cladding layer is positioned in the first electrically-conductive cladding layer. An active layer is positioned below the first electrically-conductive cladding layer. A second electrically-conductive cladding layer is positioned below the active layer. An electrically connecting first electrode is positioned on the first electrically-conductive cladding layer. An electrically connecting second electrode is positioned on the second electrically-conductive cladding layer.
