Abstract:
This light emitting element is provided with a substrate, a first electrode layer provided on one surface side of the substrate, a transparent member provided on the first electrode layer with a portion of the surface of the first electrode being exposed, a transparent electroconductive layer for covering the surface of the transparent member and the exposed first electrode layer, an organic light emitting layer provided on the transparent electroconductive layer, and a second electrode layer provided on the side of the organic light emitting layer on the opposite side from the first electrode layer. The surface of the second electrode layer of the side facing the first electrode layer has a configuration having recesses and protrusions corresponding to locations where the transparent member is present.
