Abstract:
Provided are a light-emitting material, and an organic EL element using the same and having a high light-emission efficiency and a long lifespan.　The present invention is an organic EL element including a light-emitting layer between an anode and a cathode facing one another. In at least one light-emitting layer, the organic EL element has a compound combining a boron atom and a scaffold having a specific pentacyclic condensed ring structure, which serves as a light-emissive dopant. The compound is represented by general formula (1).
