Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a light generating device for growth of living organisms that generates artificial light with a simple constitution. [Solution] A light generating device for growth of living organisms is provided with: an LED circuit having a plurality of LED elements for generating artificial light to irradiate living organisms; a stimulus control circuit for receiving alternating current from an alternating current power supply, controlling LED current supplied to the LED circuit, and controlling the intensity of the artificial light generated by the LED elements; and a rectification circuit for rectifying output current for the stimulus control circuit. The intensity of the artificial light irradiating the living organisms is varied according to the number of LED elements connected in series with a first period and a second period, and furthermore, the variations are such that changes are made on the basis of the frequency of the alternating current power supply.
