Abstract:
The light irradiation device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a first and a second light source which respectively emit first and second light which have different wavelength bands at times that overlap, or do not overlap but are close to each other, wherein the first light is of a wavelength band that acts on a photosensitizer present in bacteria and damages cells, thereby inducing death of the bacteria, the second light is of a wavelength band that changes the structure of the genetic material of cells in bacteria, thereby inducing death of the bacteria, and the dose of the second light source is less than 1/10 of the dose of the first light source.
