Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a light projection device that can cause image light to be incident on a user's eyeball at a wide viewing angle from a desired direction, regardless of the orientation of the eyeball. A light projection device (10) according to the present invention comprises: an image light generation system (100) that generates image light; and a projection system (200) that projects the image light generated by the image light generation system (100) toward an optical element (300) worn on or embedded in a user's eyeball, wherein the projection system (200) includes an aperture (203) for which at least the aperture location, which is disposed along the optical path of the image light from the image light generation system (100), is variable.
