Abstract:
The problem of providing an easily handleable light resistance improver which can improve the light resistance of styryl dyes with substantially no damage to the light absorption characteristics of the dyes and its use can be solved by a light resistance improver for styryl dyes which improver contains an azo-type organometallic complex bearing a metal atom and one or more azo compound molecules bonded to the metal atom, a light absorber comprising the improver and a styryl dye; and a photorecording medium containing either the improver or the light absorber.
