Abstract:
In order to realize optical space communication using a multiplexed spatial light signal, this light-sending device is provided with: a light source; a spatial light modulator having a modulation part to which are set a plurality of modulation regions that are irradiated with light emitted from the light source, the spatial light modulator modulating the phase of irradiated light in each of the plurality of modulation regions that are set to the modulation part; a wavelength plate arranged in the optical path of modulated light that is modulated in each of the plurality of modulation regions set to the modulation part of the spatial light modulator, the wavelength plate converting the modulated light that is modulated in each of the plurality of modulation regions to mutually different polarized states; and a curved mirror having a curved reflection surface irradiated with the modulated light that is converted to the mutually different polarized states, the curved mirror reflecting the modulated light converted to the mutually different polarized states at a projection angle that corresponds to the curvature of the reflection surface.
