Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide a light source device whose exit beam illuminance will never decrease. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A light source lamp unit (10) comprises a light source lamp (11) having a light emitter (111) where discharge emission is effected between electrodes (114), an elliptic reflector (12) which unidirectionally arranges beams radiated from the light source lamp (11) and projects them, and an auxiliary reflecting mirror (13) disposed opposite the elliptic reflector (12) with the light source lamp (11) therebetween, wherein the light emission center (C2) between the electrodes (114) does not coincide with the first focal point (F1) of the elliptic reflector (12), nor does the center (C1) of the reflection light source of the auxiliary reflecting mirror (13) with the first focal point (F1) of the elliptic reflector (12), and the light emission center (C2), the first focal point (F1), and the center (C1) of the reflection light source are arranged to lie on a straight line which is perpendicular to a straight line connecting the first and second focal points (F1, F2) of the elliptic reflector (12).
