Abstract:

A light source device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is provided with: a first light source unit that emits light in a first wavelength region; a wavelength conversion unit that is disposed on the optical path of the light in the first wavelength region, and emits light in a second wavelength region excited by the light in the first wavelength region emitted from the first light source unit, the second wavelength region being different from the first wavelength region; a polarization separation element that is disposed between the first light source unit and the wavelength conversion unit, and separates incident light on the basis of polarization; and a color separation element that is disposed between the first light source unit and the polarization separation element, and separates incident light on the basis of a wavelength region.
