Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a light source device having a high light use efficiency, and a projector having the light source device assembled thereto.
A light source device 2 is provided with: a light emitting element; a light collecting optical system to which a first component in light outputted from the light emitting element is inputted; an optical element to which the first component passed through the light collecting optical system is inputted; and a pickup optical system to which the first component is inputted via the optical element. The light collecting optical system and/or the pickup optical system includes a first lens formed of quartz.
