Abstract:
Provided are a light source device and a projector that can improve the arrangement precision for component elements. The light source device comprises: a first light source unit (61) fixed to a fixing section (651) and a second light source unit (62) fixed to a fixing section (652), said first and second light source units emitting light along two different directions; a light synthesizing member (63) that synthesizes light emitted from the first light source unit (61) and the second light source unit (62); a light source case (65) having the first light source unit (61) and the second light source unit (62) attached to the outside thereof; and a holding member (68) that holds the light synthesizing member (63) and is housed inside the light source case (65). The holding member (68) is fixed inside the light source case (65).
