Abstract:
In the present invention, partial damage to a light source is detected. A light source drive device according to the present disclosure has a light source control unit, and an abnormality detection unit. The light source control unit included in the light source drive device performs control to: sort a plurality of light-emitting units, in a light source in which the plurality of light-emitting units are disposed, into a plurality of regions; and cause the light-emitting units to emit light in the respective regions. The abnormality detection unit included in the light source drive device detects, in each region, an abnormality of a light-emitting unit on the basis of a light reception signal, which corresponds to light from the light source, from the light-receiving part generating the light reception signal.
