Abstract:
A lighter provided with a safety rod, comprises a casing, an oil tank disposed in the casing, a gas-ejecting assembly, an ignition assembly and a windshield hood above the oil tank, the ignition assembly is set on one side of the windshield hood. Said ignition assembly comprises a push lever, a flint and a spark wheel. In one flank of said spark wheel, there is a safety rod with two arms integrally formed with an angle rotating with the spark wheel. Two ends of the safety rod protrude from the flange of the spark wheel. In the safety condition, one end of the safety rod butts on the inside wall of the top of the windshield hood, the other end is located over the spark wheel. According to the lighter of the present invention, the rotation of the spark wheel can be controlled by one safety rod, thus, the fire or accident due to the unintended use by children can be prevented.
