Abstract:

Disclosed is a lighting device which can prevent or suppress unevenness in the brightness of light emitted from a light guide plate. The disclosed backlight device (24) is provided with: an LED unit (32), a light guide plate (20) having light entering surfaces (20a) on the side surfaces thereof; and a back light chassis (22) which houses the LED unit (32) and the light guide plate (20) on a base plate (22a). The LED unit (32) is disposed so as to face the light entering surfaces (20a) of the light guide plate (20). The back light chassis (22) has positioning pins (40) projecting from the surface of the base plate (22a), the light guide plate (20) has concave fitting sections (38) in positions facing the positioning pins (40), and the positioning pins (40) fit into the fitting sections (38). The side surfaces of the positioning pins (40) are provided with a through-hole (40a) which passes through said side surface.
