Abstract:
To achieve luminance uniformity, desired high contrast and low power consumption for a light emitting area having a generally circular shape, this lighting device (1) has 8n LEDs (11) spaced a radius nd apart from a center LED (11) and arranged outward and circumferentially at equal pitches in an n-th circumferential area (Xn), wherein the radial direction pitch d of the LEDs(11) arranged in a generally concentric circular shape is L/(2Xmax+1), where the outer diameter of the light emitting area (E) is L, and the number of divisions of a concentric circular shape of the light emitting area (E) is Xmax.
