Abstract:
A lighting device is provided with a circuit board and a planar light source section which comprises LED chips arranged on the circuit board. The planar light source section has a predetermined opening area facing a lighting space (space to be lighted). The LED chips are arranged on the circuit board such that the mounting density based on the number of the LED chips in the opening area is greater than or equal to three pieces per square centimeter, and thus the planar light source is formed.
