Description:
A lighting system, in particular for service column or pit jacks Field of the invention

The invention relates to a lighting system, in particular for service column or pit jacks, etc., used on lifting devices when repairing vehicles, boats, etc. for their efficient illumination from the bottom, in order to facilitate and improve the operation of service engineers.

State of the art

Luminous sources are currently located in service or repair workshops on ceilings or sidewalls.

Especially in working areas bellow vehicles, boats, etc., the lighting is typically insufficient. As a result, service engineers use various types of rod or handlamps as luminous sources to allow at least partial illumination of such areas, but they are constantly confronted with the following problems:

- the hand lamp may be poorly fixed,

- the light beam can be focused on the work area with insufficient precision and brightness only, the service engineer is in most cases dazzled by a light source.

Summary of the invention

In order to overcome the drawbacks of existing lighting systems, particularly when using portable luminaires, the present invention is based on the fact that the lighting system, in particular for service column or pit jacks, consists of at least one light bar arranged on the floor and on the side of the column formed by stepping-on or crossing profile with at least one outer longitudinal groove or radial holes, where the said profile includes a LED strip with a flexible cable connection in the longitudinal groove or under the radial holes on the power supply control source fixed to the stationary part of the column of the jack, where the said profile above the inserted LED strip or inserted LED strips includes a longitudinal covering diffuser or diffractive lens at the pitch of the LED chips.

Overview of figures on drawings

Further advantages and effects of the present invention are apparent from the accompanying drawings, wherein:

FIG. 1 is a schematic layout of the lighting system with light bars in combination with the service column jack,

FIG. 2 is a schematic arrangement of the service column jack and light bar of the lighting system in lateral view,

FIG. 3 is a schematic arrangement of the service column jack and light bars of the lighting system seen from above,

FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the light bar body,

FIG 5 a view of the lead-in ramp of the light bar,

FIG. 6 is a schematic view of the arrangement of LED chips on LED strips. Example of invention embodiment

The lighting system, in particular for the known service column or pit jacks, in the example schematically illustrated as the column jack J_, which consists of at least one light bar 4 on the side of the jack I column 2 on the floor 3, consisting of a stepping-on or crossing profile 5 with at least one outer longitudinal groove 6 or radial holes (not shown). The stepping-on or crossing profile 5 includes the LED strip 7 with a flexible cable connection 8 situated in the longitudinal groove 6 or under the radial holes to the power supply control source 9 mounted on the stationary part of the column 2 of the jack .

Said profile 5 above the inserted LED strip 7 includes, for example, a longitudinal covering diffuser 10 or diffractive lenses (not shown) at the pitch of the LED chips ϋ on the LED strip 7.

Each light bar 4 is attached to the floor 3 or to the edge of the not shown pit either by screws or by gluing or suction cups to receive a stable but adjustable position.

The power supply control source 9, comprising at least a transformer, a two- state switch, and an electronic dimmer, is in the form of a housing 12 mounted on the stationary part of the column 2 of the jack J_, for example by means of a magnet, screws, strapping tape or, optionally, adhesive tape.

The ends of the profile 5 of each light bar 4 are provided with lead-in terminals 13.. One of them is provided with connection connectors (not shown) for flexible cable connection 8 of the power supply control source 9.

The radiating angle of the light bars 4 is, according to various requirements, chosen between 5° and 90° relative to the floor 3.

Profile 5 is designed as a cooler made of extruded aluminium or plastic with increased heat removal capability.

Industrial applicability

The lighting systems can be arranged in different spatially modified forms as stepping-on or crossing solutions installed on the floor in parallel with assembly / production lines of cars, boats, etc. wherever there is advantageous, during some work operations, lower illumination of a product on the line for visual inspection, safe and efficient work of operators, etc.
