Abstract:
A lighting unit (1) illuminates a specimen (S) held on a support (T). The lighting unit (1) comprises: a light source (2) that is disposed on one side of a sample surface (3a) in a direction intersecting the sample surface (3a) on which the support (T) is disposed, and emits illumination light (L) toward the sample surface (3a); and a deflection member (5) that is disposed on the other side of the sample surface (3a) in the direction intersecting the sample surface (3a), and deflects the illumination light (L) toward the sample surface (3a). The deflection member (5) deflects the illumination light (L) obliquely with respect to the sample surface (3a).
