Abstract:
This lighting unit is provided with: a light source having a first light emitting element that outputs visible light, and a second light emitting element that outputs infrared light; and a rotating reflector that rotates about a rotation axis, while reflecting the visible light and the infrared light, which have been outputted from the light source. The light source is configured such that a part of a second light distribution pattern is superimposed on a first light distribution pattern, and a second light distribution pattern range not superimposed on the first light distribution pattern is generated on the side closer to a center region than the first light distribution pattern, said center region being ahead of the vehicle.
