Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a lignin derivative that can improve the dispersibility of various substances to be dispersed, such as various dispersing agents, cement admixtures, and agrochemical additives, regardless of the field thereof. The present invention provides a lignin derivative containing a structural unit derived from a lignin compound and a structural unit derived from a compound having a polyalkylene oxide chain, wherein a condition (A) stating that the content of a phenolic hydroxyl group relative to the structural unit derived from the lignin compound is in the range of 1.5-6.0% and a condition (B) stating that the average number of added moles of alkylene oxide in the polyalkylene oxide chain is in the range of 10-200 are satisfied.
