A linear motor (10) and an electronic device (1). The linear motor comprises a drive assembly (300), a vibrator assembly (200), an elastic support member (400) for supporting the vibrator assembly (200), and a housing (100) having an accommodation space (111); the vibrator assembly (200) comprises a mass block (210) fixed to the elastic support member (400), and a magnetic steel group (220), the mass block (210) has an annular portion (211) and a bearing portion (212) that are integrally formed, the bearing portion (212) is connected to the annular portion (211) to define a mounting cavity (213) having an opening (2131) at one end, and the magnetic steel group (220) is provided in the mounting cavity (213); the drive assembly (300) is provided at the side close to the opening (2131), and is capable of generating a variable magnetic field for driving the magnetic steel group (220) to move, so as to drive the mass block (210) to make reciprocating motion with respect to the housing (100). Compared with conventional linear motors, by providing, on a mass block, a mounting cavity having an opening at one end, the linear motor can achieve the function of limiting a magnetic steel group even when a pole core is removed; in addition, the assembling process is simplified, and glue leakage is avoided.
