Abstract:
In order to provide a linear vibration motor and linear vibration system with which it is possible to generate vibrations of adequate intensity at a variety of frequencies with a single motor, a linear vibration motor 2 and a linear vibration system are provided with a frame 3, a movable element 8, a driving part 10 with a driving coil 12 and driving magnets 14A and 14B, and a biasing part 20 with a biasing electromagnet 22 and biasing magnets 26A and 26B, wherein: the movable element 8 vibrates in a first (X-axis) direction that is essentially orthogonal to the winding axis of the driving coil 12 as a result of a Lorentz force generated by a magnetic field formed by the driving coil 12 and magnetic fields formed by the driving magnets 14A and 14B; the biasing electromagnet 22 and biasing magnets 26A and 26B are disposed so that the same poles essentially face each other and the movable element 8 is biased in the first (X-axis) direction as a result of a magnetic spring due to a repelling force generated between the biasing electromagnet 22 and the biasing magnets 26A and 26B; and the magnetic spring constant of the magnetic spring changes as a result of changes in the electric current flowing to a biasing coil 22B.
