Title:
LIQUID-COOLED CATHODE-RAY TUBE APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1984/003390
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A liquid-cooled cathode-ray tube apparatus which is suitable for a high-luminance cathode-ray tube employed in a color projector has a transparent panel (2) provided in front of a front panel of a cathode-ray tube (1) over a metal spacer (3) which also acts as a radiator. A liquid-tight space is thereby formed between the front panel and the transparent panel (2), and it is filled with a transparent liquid cooling medium. At least the upper edge of the transparent panel (2) is provided with a projecting part (2C), and an extension space (5A) is formed between the projecting part (2C) and a projecting part (3C) of the metal spacer, through which the cooling medium enters, so that heat from the front panel of the cathode-ray tube (1) can be efficiently dissipated therefrom.
