Abstract:
The present invention discloses a liquid crystal composition and an application thereof. The liquid crystal composition comprises at least one compound according to formula I, and at least one compound selected from a group consisting of compounds according to general formula II-1, general formula II-2, and combinations thereof. The liquid crystal composition provided by the present invention has suitable optical anisotropy, a high clearing point, high elastic constants K11 and K33, and relatively low dielectric anisotropy. When applied to liquid crystal displays, the liquid crystal composition has better weather resistance and higher contrast.
