Abstract:
Provided is a liquid crystal composition, containing a compound of formula I having a mass content of 1-10% as a first component, a compound of formula II having a mass content of 1-20% as a second component, two or more compounds of formula III as a third component, three or more compounds of formula IV as a fourth component, and one or more polymerizable compounds as a fifth component. In the liquid crystal display element and liquid crystal display containing the liquid crystal composition, the liquid crystal composition has a lower rotational viscosity and a lower γ on the basis of maintaining suitable optical anisotropy 1/K33, and, when applied to a liquid crystal display element or liquid crystal display, the liquid crystal display has a faster response speed.
