Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a liquid crystal composition with which it is possible to form a light-absorbing anisotropic film having a high degree of orientation; and a light-absorbing anisotropic film, a laminate, and an image display device in which the liquid crystal composition is used. This liquid crystal composition contains a straight-chain polymer liquid crystal compound having repeating units, a low-molecular-weight liquid crystal compound in which the maximum light absorption wavelength in a solution is 390 nm or less, and a dichroic material.
