A liquid crystal display device and a control method therefor. The liquid crystal display device comprises a first liquid crystal panel (10) and a second liquid crystal panel (20) mounted thereon. The control method for the liquid crystal display device comprises the following steps: setting the applied pixel voltage level for the first liquid crystal panel (10), and selecting the pixel voltage level and the gray scale display of the first liquid crystal panel (10).
