Abstract:
There is provided a liquid crystal display device (1) including: a first substrate (10) including a plurality of wiring layers (15a, 15b) and having a plurality of first electrodes (11a) on one surface (S1) of the first substrate (10); a second substrate (20) provided to face the first substrate (10) and having a second electrode (13a) facing the first electrodes (11a); and a liquid crystal layer (12) sealed between the first substrate (10) and the second substrate (20), wherein the thickness (t2) in a peripheral portion in the plane of the first substrate (10) is larger than the thickness (t1) in a central portion so as to result in a concave shape of said one surface (S1).
