Abstract:
A liquid crystal display device power consumption reduction apparatus (30), the power consumption reduction apparatus (30) comprising: a screen area acquisition module (31) used for acquiring a viewed first screen area (11) and a non-viewed second screen area (12) when a viewer is viewing the screen of the liquid crystal display device; a dynamic backlight control module (32) used for performing dynamic backlight control adjustment of the second screen area (12). A power consumption reduction method of the power consumption reduction apparatus (30) and a liquid crystal display device provided with the power consumption reduction apparatus (30). Smart area dynamic backlight control of the screen of the liquid crystal display device can be implemented, simultaneously reducing the power consumption of the liquid crystal display device.
