Abstract:
This liquid crystal display device is provided with: a plurality of source drivers that supply data signals to a plurality of source lines; a gate driver that supplies scanning signals to a plurality of gate lines; and a timing controller (14) that controls drive of the source drivers and the gate driver. The timing controller (14) includes: an image determining section (14b) that determines whether a specific pattern image is included or not in an input image inputted from the outside; and a polarity signal generating section (14c) that generates polarity signals (POL) for each of the source drivers on the basis of determination results obtained from the image determining section (14b). The polarity signal generating section (14c) outputs each of the generated polarity signals (POL) to each of the corresponding source drivers.
